THE DOT-TO-DOT PROJECT
A SOCIAL GAME TO REVITALISE VACANT LANDS IN OUR CITIES
GOLFHILL SCHOOL IN DENNISTOUN - GLASGOW (II)
August 20, 2016
We have identified various deprived urban areas in Glasgow to implement our social agenda, so the significant proportion of our cultural activity is expected to be delivered within the city of Glasgow. Our proposal is a social game called DOT-TO-DOT. It is an open hub that accommodates flexible uses to help the everyday needs of local communities though a model of time banking (co-production) and circular economy (remaking). It is about share and remake. Visit this link: https://issuu.com/cristiansuau/docs/dot-to-dot_studio_pop
The aim of DOT-TO-DOT is to bring new urbanity into silenced vacant lands and derelict buildings in order to accommodate the variety and diversity of communities in a “co-productive liveable habitat”. In order to achieve an architecture of enjoyment, we apply the following principles: - Remaking urban tissue by filling ecological and productive gaps Let’s repurpose the existing disused spaces based on the culture of remaking and circular economy - Polyvalent architecture and urbanism Our communities are living organisms and their public spaces should offer adaptive activities.
