Ambassador in Glasgow, UK
I am architect from the Universidad de Alcalá de Henares in Madrid since summer 2015. I have been living in Glasgow apprehending its culture, its social approach & learning from it´s rich history for three years now.
I form part of STUDIO POP with the passion for doing something for the communities, helping to find solutions to problems through collaboration, listening to people, their needs & their passions & getting involved in ecological design where the key is to go back to a local approach to problems thought a global perspective taking advantage of the digital world we live in.
I understand the design of the city has to be driven by the real needs of the communities through a process of thinking, playing & making things happen. And we need to take part of this, start taking control of the empty city.
I studied an Erasmus year out in the RWTH university in Aachen, Germany where I participated in several workshops in different countries in a more practical approach of architecture. Some projects we developed where the “studenten garden”, an approach to recover spaces within the city & reimagining them or “landscaping on ice” to play & project landscapes & spaces in the snow in Austria.
I had worked in collaboration with ETSAG & the Tabacalera in Madrid on projects related to empty spaces in the city & the social & leisure approach of design. We developed a theatre area with reused material for & with the community. Thought a DIY workshop for the community we would give them the theory & the tools to replicate the model .
I am passionate about finding tools for everyone to participate in the development of cities & a more social & digital approach to the cities design as, at the end of the day… we all share, live, think & play in the city .
